The most important experimental methods of studying the mechanical properties cells, as well common rheological models, among which discrete models micro/nanostructure cell and continuous that allow calculating modulus elasticity viscosity in normal pathological conditions are discussed. A review is given with an indication their features differences. new continuum model a multi-layer shell filled viscoelastic fluid proposed. Equations solutions for cases isotonic, isometric dynamic experiments obtained. Peculiarities behavior depending on identified parameters investigated. comparison data measurements given. It shown proposed allows evaluation separate contribution cytoskeleton, membrane, adsorbed substances hydrated shell, clinical diagnosis diseases by measuring cells.
